成都, Chengdu

安逸 (ān yì): the art of taking it easy.

Chengdu takes its time. Lanterns hang by the old covered bridge over the river, tiled roofs curve out of the trees, and in the teahouses people settle into bamboo chairs and stay a while. The last photo is the whole city in one frame: a table, a few chairs, a tree in bloom, and nowhere to be.
